Thanks to Influenster I received three complimentary Sally Handson nail polishes to review. I absolutely LOVE nail polish...but these are amazing! Base, color and topcoat make for a faster manicure. The color selection is off the charts and the brush design makes application simple. Don't have time but need a quick manicure? Check out Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure...It's a total knockout!

Naturally Gifted
I was deeply sadden by the loss of icon Whitney Huston. Listening to radio play her many hits made me think of all the music legends that are gone and how unimpressed I am with most of the new music that is put out today. The feeling that the music industry is in a decline echoes throughout most of the social media sites I am a member of.
Luckily, last week I attended a performance that lifted my spirits, and renewed my faith that good (new) music is still around. My older cousin told me about a group that "I just had to see" called Naturally 7. I admit I wasn't excited at first, but after watching their YouTube videos I was amazed!
On February 16th at BB Kings I was able to witness this group of talented men create music using only their mouths. Every sound from the bass drum and dj scratches to the harmonica and trombone. It is truly amazing...you would swear the sound was coming from a synthesizer if you did not see them create it right in front you on stage. Not only can they perform the difficult instrumental sounds to a T, but they can all sang, not sing, sang! Each member of the ensemble belted out their part with soul and precision.
To top it all off, Naturally 7 really knows how to entertain and get the crowd hype. By the end of the show everyone was on their feet singing and dancing. As a musician I was impressed by their unity on stage, they made being in a seven member group look effortless.
As per a band poll, the crowd was made up mostly of newbies, like myself, but there was a good amount of Naturally 7 veterans, many of which, like the people at the table next to me, have gone to three and four shows. I can bet all of newbies will be at their next New York show.
Naturally 7 has performed mostly overseas and is coming out with their first U.S. album. Currently, their single “Life Goes On” can be requested on WBLS.

Prepared for Greatness!
It has been too long since I've updated this website. I finally found the time, motivation, and two great products to share! 2010 was a great year and I had a fabulous time on the 3012 Tour! I still have to fill you in on some of the last legs of the tour and I will get to that eventually, but the main focus of this post is to tell you about my new endeavor.
This year I will be trying out a lot of new things and making major changes in my life such as going natural with my hair and writing a book. I wanted to write a book for two years now and I have finally begun the process. Whenever I start a new project I always like to do research and have the best resources and materials at my disposal to assist me with my new endeavor.
The wonderful man in my life gave me a great Christmas gift, the iMac, which I LOVE! I am pimping out my iMac to help me write my book. First, I had to find a great writing software program to use, and I found it in Scrivener! Scrivener is a writing program that has several different project templates based on the type of writing you want to do. I use the fiction template where my work can be organized by chapter and scene. There is a character sketch folder available, in addition to a place where I can store any research or setting sketches. Basically, this program provides you with everything you need for any type of writing you want to do wether it be nonfiction, script writing or poetry. So if you have a Mac and you like to write GET SCRIVENER! For PC users there is a beta version of scrivener available and the final version should be available soon.
The second great product I want to share is Dragon Dictate which is a speech recognition program for MAC OS X. I had Dragon Dictate for my PC and I loved it, but I barely used it because my PC was slow. I knew once I decided to write a book I would have to get this program for my Mac. I just received it yesterday and I don't know what I will do without it. I purchased the version that comes with a microphone headset, the cord is long enough that I don't have to be directly in front of my computer to use it, but if you are someone who likes to walk around and talk you can purchase the version with the wireless headset. This version definitely picks up better then the one I bought a few years ago for my PC. I'm able to talk at a normal speed and it picks up most of what I'm saying. I also like this program because I can dictate to any program that I have on the Mac including e-mails, Facebook and Twitter statuses, and even my Google search box. ( I'm actually dictating this blog post) I know that this program will help me to write more realistic dialogue in my story since I'm actually going to be able to speak the words my characters are saying. My brain is definitely quicker than my fingers and Dragon Dictate will allow me to express myself quickly and accurately. If you've never used before recognition software before it does take some getting use to and there are common voice commands that you must learn, but once you get past that you will love it!
Happy writing to all those aspiring authors out there!

BLISS!

Bliss Spa is fab! It is going to be a definite to-do when I need a pick me up! I visited Bliss 49 located at 541 Lexington Avenue and I am compelled to share that all the hype about their waxing techniques are true!
In the interest of providing TMI I recommend that if you go to the same location to request Dee she is a waxing specialist and esthetician.

3012: April=Atlanta=Awesomeness
Atlanta was truly AWESOME! Friendly people and good times...3012 keeps getting better with each passing month!
WHERE WE STAYED!
Renaissance Downtown Atlanta Hotel

LOCATION: Easily accessible by public transportation. Near the landmark eatery The Varsity and Georgia Tech University.
AMENITIES: Roof top pool
LIKES: Request for extra towels was filled. Room had a balcony with a great view of downtown Atlanta.
DISLIKES: No fridge or microwave.
WHERE WE PLAYED!
The King Center

At the King Center you can get a tour of Dr. Martin Luther King's birth home, see Ebenezer Baptist Church, view the Eternal Flame and Reflection Pool.
This is a must see Atlanta landmark site, it is an opportunity to learn about and reflect on the life and influence of a powerful black leader!
Georgia Aquarium

(pic taken from my blackberry)
The lines for the aquarium were ridiculous, and there were tons of families there, so please go with a lot of patience. The aquatic life you will see is absolutely breath taking...I did not want to leave! My favorite section of the aquarium was the Ocean Voyager.
Wet Willies
This is a great place to pre-game before the club. Part of the chain that was made famous in Miami, Wet Willies in Atlanta is the place to be! It starts to get crowded around 5pm on a Saturday. The staff was attentive and courteous. The daiquiri's were amazing, I recommend mixing mango and melon....beware of the jello shots, they are trouble!
The Velvet Room
No you are not hallucinating, that is Boris Kodjoe in the picture, we were fortunate enough to be graced by his sexiness! The Velvet Room has a spacious and sexy atmosphere on the inside. On the outside it is in the middle of a strip mall, next door to a Big Lots! If you get a free pass to get in get there early because "security" will hold the line.
Life Nightclub

Had a great time here! (not much else to say, lol)
WHERE WE ATE!
The Varsity
Seriously overrated! The chilly dog and onion rings I ate were not memorable and the varsity orange soda was not good at all! The atmosphere was much better. The dining areas are split into different rooms, each room has a different television station playing. I ate in the ESPN room and sat in a traditional school chair w/ attached desk.
Waffle House
This was my first time eating here and I loved it! The food was more than enough and most importantly the price was right....
Where else can you get three egg whites, toast, bacon, grits, a blueberry waffle, and orange juice for under $9?
Goodfellas Pizza & Wings

Located across the street from The Varsity. This is the spot for fried, greasy, yet tasty food!
Busy Bees

Unfortunately I was unable to taste this fine southern cuisine due to the fact that they are closed on Saturday :-( This place is a true hole in the wall spot, and if you drive too fast...you will miss it. The 3012 Divas told me that the food was good, but the place was packed on Sunday.
Next Stop on the 3012 Tour: ??????....Stay Tuned!

Sally Hansen is the S#%*!

(Shown Above: Turquoise Chrome)
I have been obsessed with nail polish since high school...it was my main form of self expression since I was too chicken to do anything drastic to my hair and I was far from a fashionista! I am always falling in love with bright, rich colors.
I was in CVS when I stumbled upon the newest Sally Hansen product called the Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Chrome Pen. When I saw the color on the box it instantly reminded my of the minx nail treatment I have seen on celebrities like Beyonce. I don't know about you but I do not have the time or the money to get a minx treatment. Now you can get it for $6.50!
If the price wasn't good enough, this nail pen is easy to use, it is not messy, it's not as smelly as traditional nail polish, one coat is good enough and it REALLY drys QUICK FAST!
This is the perfect MUST HAVE for the busy woman on the go. Throw it in your purse for touch ups. This pen will also make self pedicures so easy! Don't worry if chrome is too much for you, they have regular colors as well.
